SATCA – Meeting Minutes 04/01/09
Marko (President): April 24th – KRDR Tour. You should have sent the required information to John (Events Coordinator). The van will be leaving at 7:30AM, so meet at Ryan Hall like ten minutes before. We are leaving early because the security check will take awhile.
April 26th – 4H Tour. We need people to help in the tower and radar labs. You will be helping 4H kids learn about ATC (teaching them how to vector aircraft). This event will take place from 6-9PM.
May 1st-2nd – KFSD Tour. We will be going to Sioux Falls, SD. Priority will be given to members who work the Sugarland and/or 4H event(s). This trip will cost $30.
Bob Huggins, supervisor at KFSD, will be at UND for the SAMA convection. Check out his presentation – 9AM on Friday!
How do officer elections work?
You can only run for one office. You must be nominated for that office… whether it be by yourself or another member. If you are nominated by another person you do not need a second nomination. If you nominate yourself you do need a second nomination.
You will be asked to give a speech on why you are running for the position, why you are qualified for the office, and what you will do for SATCA.
After you give your speech you will be asked to step out into the hallway while the other candidate(s) speak.
Voting will take place with you not in the room. Only paid members may vote. Marko, the president, will abstain from voting. In the event of a tie, he will cast the tie-breaking vote.
